About Us

BAPA is a fun and friendly dance school that provides quality training for all types of dancers. You can take dancing as a hobby, for fitness or to really challenge yourself and reach your full potential!

Our students are taught by experienced, professional, passionate and enthusiastic teachers who hold qualifications in their respective fields. We endeavour to always provide the students at Blakehurst Academy with the highest level of training and to create an environment where students are able to feel safe, encouraged and inspired to reach their goals.

We hold an End of Year Concert and have annual Examination Sessions for those who wish to take part. We place a great importance on strong beginning foundations of technique through safe and correct training.

We have 10/U, 12/U and 14/U Performance Troupe classes where students are invited to join upon successful audition. These classes have a variety of opportunities to perform throughout the year – from Festivals to Competitions and Eisteddfods.

Blakehurst Academy conducts classes in Classical Ballet (RAD), Jazz, Tap, Contemporary/Lyrical, Hip Hop, Tinytots, Adults, Acrobatics and solos for all ages available by appointment. 

Our parents and students are very important to us and we are very proud of the dance community we have formed. We always endeavour to maintain a friendly, helpful and supportive dance community
