Blakehurst Academy was established in 1996 and caters for ages from 3 through to Adults.
Here at Blakehurst Academy, we provide a safe and disciplined, yet enjoyable and creative environment for everyone to dance. There is a class for everybody at Blakehurst Academy! You can dance just for fun and fitness through the "Recreation Strand" or for the serious dancers the "Triple Threat Strand". No matter what age or skill level, Blakehurst Academy is a place where you can come and feel comfortable.
Our students are taught by experienced and passionate teachers who hold qualifications in their respective fields. We hold Dance, Singing and Drama Concerts yearly and have bi-annual Examination Sessions for those who wish to take part. All students are encouraged and given the opportunity to reach their goals whilst enjoying learning to dance.
We have a Junior and Senior Performance Class where students are invited to join upon successful audition. These classes have a variety of opportunities to perform throughout the year - from Festivals to Competitions and Eisteddfods. By auditioning, this helps the student learn about the audition process for the future.
Blakehurst Academy conducts classes in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Stretch and Conditioning, Tinytots, Boys JFH, Drama and Singing.
We provide an environment for adult students to attend classes in Tap and Jazz and private tuition is also available by appointment.
